Akira Hollywood Live Action Set for 2009

Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, along with Warner have gotten the rights to produce two live-action Akira films. Each film plans to follow 3 volumes of the manga, with the stage being moved to New Manhattan after it has been destroyed. No mention of the cast has been named yet.
