Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 13: “Vampire Knight ~Knight~”


Summary: Zero’s Bloody Rose attacks every which-way, injuring Rido. He attempts to escape but Kaname and Zero corner and destroy him. Things settle back down, leaving Yuuki and Zero to talk. He denies that she’s truly a vampire, and if she is, she should bite him. She does, and so he accepts that one day he will kill her. After returning to her dorm, Yuuki decides to leave with Kaname on their trip. Kaname doubts her intentions at first but Yuuki explains that he is one of the people she wants to protect. Kaname tells her that she is the most important thing in the entire world to him. Together, Yuuki, Kaname, Ruka, Aidou, and Akatsuki leave. Even though Kaname told them they were free to do what they wished, they chose to stay near him.

Rima and Shiki stay behind. Shiki finds Ichijou’s sword in the rubble of the estate Kaname destroyed.

Thoughts: Ah, this is a good, satisfying ending. I would be quite happy if the series ended here, regardless of the fact that the manga is still ongoing. Yuuki leaves happily with Kaname, and leaves no lose ends with Zero either. She seems to have accepted the fate she spent the season trying to uncover, and makes Zero accept it as well. I suppose one can wonder how the politics of the vampires are after what happened, but I can assume that Kaname has asserted his authority well enough for it to remain respected. More lovey stuff would be nice though ~.
